TRANSFER POSITION DESCRIPTION
Assignment: 1.0 FTE Library Information Specialist at Hilltop Elementary, starts 2024-25 school year.
Category required to apply for transfer: 63

A. An employee may apply for a voluntary transfer to a permanent (continuing) vacancy position pursuant to Section 10.3.
B. Each employee seeking a transfer will complete an online application and submit it by the deadline stipulated on this job announcement. A separate application for Voluntary Transfer must be submitted for each position sought.
C. To be eligible for transfer an employee must:
1) hold the employment category(s) of the position sought;
2) hold continuing contract FTE entitlement equal to that of the position, and not be on leave for any portion of their entitlement in the year for which the transfer is sought;
3) meet the certification and published qualifications requisite to the position. Qualifications will describe skills, abilities, and knowledge, required. Neither experience nor educational level will be used as a qualification in the voluntary transfer process;
4) not have received an "unsatisfactory" in any criterion or overall performance on his/her last Final Evaluation Report; and,
5) request to transfer his/her total FTE.
D. If more than one employee requests a transfer to a given transfer position and meets the eligibility requirements set forth in Section 10.5.C. above, the position shall be filled by the employee recommended by the building selection team.
E. An employee may voluntarily transfer only once for a given school year.
Salary:
2023-24 Salary Schedule range: $76,677 through $137,755 (2024-25 salary schedule yet to be finalized). Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.
Benefits:
Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions. Eligibility for health insurance at the time of hire is determined by holding at least a .5 FTE continuing contract position. Eligibility for retirement is determined by holding at least a .6 FTE contract.
