MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
- Five years of experience in governmental or private sector accounting or auditing.
- Two years of experience in supervision of staff.
- Valid Florida driver license.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure all tangible property is accounted for according to state and local laws, regulations, and policies of the School Board.
- Ensure all School Board liabilities are satisfied and warrants, and wire payments are distributed in both an expeditious and efficient manner.
- Monitor cash flows and ensure all investments are processed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate financial information for funding opportunities through COPS and bond issuances.
- Coordinate the accurate completion and timely submission of the Annual Financial Report.
- Ensure the review and proper allocation of all property-related journal entries made to the accounting records.
- Review policies and procedures continuously in order to make recommendations to improve and standardize processes.
- Assist in the preparations and issuance of various internal monthly and annual reports that accurately represent the District activities.
- Lead and/or attend various meetings to communicate information, advise, recommend, and make presentations developed to present technical proposals, plans, and documentation.
- Perform project management duties, including planning, prioritizing, and coordinating and determine and deploy resources required to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget, ensuring project objectives are fulfilled.
- Provide assistance and training to school principals and bookkeepers on accounting and fiscal matters.
- Assist in preparation of recommendations for School Board meeting agendas and attend School Board meetings as needed.
