Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Specialty: Radiology
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM & Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience
License: State Licensure in Radiologic Technology required
Certifications: Radiography (R) by ARRT required, BLS required
Must-Have: Basic computer experience
Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Provide support for other imaging technologists and facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts or at other campuses as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure.
- Maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
- Align behavior and communication skills with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
- Meet expectations of applicable competencies, such as Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Adhere to core values and maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies, including behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
- Promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement in collaboration with management, coworkers, and physicians.
- Provide meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians, ensuring exceptional physician satisfaction.
- Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Perform examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of licensure, certification, and competencies.
- Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
- Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate any issues to the PACS administrator or designee as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to management and perform appropriate follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
