Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a physician as well as support from current APP team the Physician assistant (PA) will be responsible for the assessment, evaluation, clinical management & treatment of patients in the neuro interventional Radiology (IR) department and perform/assist in IR procedures. The PA will work in collaboration with the Neuro Interventionalists and the IR staff to facilitate patient care from admission through discharge. He/she is responsible to the clinical director/leader, service line administrator and supervising physician. The Physician Assistant is responsible for patient care as outlined within the delineation of privileges and collaborative practice agreement.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
Must complete in-house orientation program
Bachelor's degree required.
Masters preferred
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Graduate from an ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant program, or equivalent as approved by the New York State
Experience And Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Speaks, reads and writes English
Experience and/or skills in area of practice.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
License/Certifications
Current NYS Physician Assistant Licensure/Registration.
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the NYS Board of Medicine
Current unrestricted DEA certificate for mid-level providers. (Full schedule: 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5)
NYS Mandated Infection Control Course Certificate (renewable every four years)
Current BLS, ACLS for assigned areas of practice.

Frequent, prolonged standing/walking, lifts, positions and/or transfer of patients.
