Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate as a Cloud Development Engineer within a fast-paced and highly visible team environment of system administrators, software developers and a help desk.
Identify opportunities to upgrade or modify sustainment systems.
Proactively implement necessary changes for operational effectiveness and responsiveness.
Conduct requirements analysis for ongoing and upcoming software projects.
Undertake software development tasks, including design and coding.
Integrate new components into existing systems.
Continuously evaluate and assess system performance.
Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing systems.
Address issues and ensure the ongoing reliability of systems.
Participate in testing processes to validate the functionality and performance of developed software.
Telework authorization is on an as-needed basis.
Desired Skills:
Experience the with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence & Jira
Experience with IBM Sterling and/or Oracle
Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in an IT field and six years of experience in software development/engineering. Ten years of software development experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Four years of experience in software development on systems utilizing cloud-related technologies
Proficient in Java development within cloud environments.
Experience developing and updating technical documentation
Skilled in problem solving and troubleshooting computer systems and software
Experience with agile development methodologies
Experience managing systems hosted in virtual environments such as AWS
Ability to work during core hours of 10AM-2PM Monday- Friday. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
