Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Position Summary
Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner in Department of Neurosurgery Cerebrovascular is responsible for coordination, and assurance of comprehensive health care using advanced practice nursing process and pertinent standards of care, the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, performance of diagnostic, therapeutic, corrective and prescriptive measures as appropriate for patients, in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau Communities Hospital. He/she assists in promoting the Cerebrovascular Service to the medical staff and the community while also participating in departmental staff meetings and educational activities. He/She also acts as Nurse Improving Care for the Patients within the Neurosurgery Cerebrovascular Department.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
Must complete in-house orientation program
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
Experience And Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Speaks, reads and writes English
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a RN.
Demonstrates competency as a Nurse Practitioner.
License/Certifications
Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as Registered Professional Nurse
Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses (ANCC) certificate.
Certifications required for assigned area of practice:
BLS
ACLS
Current DEA registration.

Lifts, positions and/or transfers patients/equipment
Continued, daily computer/electronic record documentation, screening viewing.
