Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Senior Quality Managers (Level L) to join the 787 Quality Team based in North Charleston, SC.

The Senior Quality Manager for BSC Aft Body will be leading the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance to our Quality Management System and integrate quality assurance activities across multiple manufacturing business units including Mid-body, Final Assembly and the BSC Delivery Center. This position requires strong leadership and people skills, ability to problem solve and be a proactive to identify issues and to develop and communicate corrective actions plans.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading teams (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team's talent.)
  • 3+ years of experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years in Quality Assurance
  • Experience in Quality Leadership
  • Experience working in Delivery Centers and or Final Assembly Production
  • Experience interacting with Customers
