The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is searching for full-time faculty members who specialize in Cardiac Imaging. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinic and inpatient service, cardiac imaging reading, and cardiology consultation. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants with an interest in cardiac imaging research. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and 4) have training and experience in advanced echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography. Assessment of applications will consider training and experience in echo guidance of structural heart disease interventions and in cardiac MR/CT/PET.
