The University of Chicago's Adult Epilepsy Center in the Department of Neurology is seeking board certified/board eligible academic epileptologists to join its faculty as the Neuroscience program continues to expand. Appointees will join the Center's existing group of epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroscientists at University of Chicago Medicine. We especially welcome applicants with clinical research experience. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Appointees will join a growing neurosciences service line, which includes the opportunity to practice at University of Chicago's expanding clinical locations both in and outside of our main campus in Hyde Park. Appointees will participate in clinical, educational, and research activities, including outpatient clinic, inpatient service, and involvement with fellow, resident, and medical student education. The Adult Epilepsy Center includes an inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit, intraoperative monitoring, and outpatient and inpatient EEG.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) have completed a residency program in neurology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, 3) be fellowship trained in Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology, including advanced EEG monitoring and surgical evaluation, 4) be board certified or eligible in neurology, and 5) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
