The Department of Pediatrics of Wake Forest School of Medicine invites you to consider a unique academic and clinical care opportunity to join our growing Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Section. We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our full-time faculty in beautiful Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Successful applicants for this position will conduct full psychological evaluations including developmental and autism spectrum disorder testing, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and program development as we seek to establish an Autism Center of Excellence. Applicants with experience providing therapeutic interventions are also given the opportunity to provide intervention services to our patients. Faculty members have expectations for teaching and/or clinical research.

Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or School Psychology
  • Completion of an APA-accredited Internship or equivalent
  • Completion of one-year pediatric psychology post-doctoral fellowship preferred but equivalent employment experience in the field is also acceptable
  • Valid NC Psychology license or license eligible in the state of NC
  • Trained in administration of ADOS and experience independently completing autism and developmental evaluations
  • Not required, but opportunity to get certified to provide Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and/or PEERS as we offer both clinics on-site

About Us:

The Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics section is part of the Department of Pediatrics and consists of (3) Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, (4) Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, (1) Psychiatric Physician Assistant, (3) Pediatric Psychologists, (1) Staff Psychologist, (1) LCSW, and a Nurse Navigator all working closely with support staff. Psychology faculty conduct evaluations with patients referred with neurodevelopmental concerns including, but not limited to, Autism and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and provide therapy services including Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and PEERS.
