Job Description
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center are seeking to recruit up to two Board certified/Board eligible academic gastroenterologists to join the Section of Gastroenterology.
Applicants should have a core desire to care for an incredibly diverse but generally underserved and underprivileged patient population at a large safety net hospital. If the call to provide "exceptional care without exception" resonates with you, we invite you to apply.
The two positions offered are full-time clinical positions, entailing a mix of endoscopy, clinic and inpatient consult responsibilities. One of the positions is for an early- or mid-career advanced endoscopist, preferably with training in "third space" endoscopy as well as interventional EUS techniques. The other position is for a "general GI" provider, ideally with a clinical 'niche' to complement the existing areas of expertise in our Section. For both positions, a desire to train future generations of physicians is required, and experience in medical education, clinical investigation or other scholarly activities is preferred.
Required Skills
DO NOT APPLY THROUGH THE BU WEBSITE
Successful applicants will have strong clinical skills, enthusiasm for teaching and academic productivity.

BU conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain faculty and staff positions. The background check includes contacting the final candidate's current and previous employer(s) to ask whether, in the last seven years, there has been a substantiated finding of misconduct violating that employer's applicable sexual misconduct policies. To implement this process, the University requires a final candidate to complete and sign the form entitled "Authorization to Release Information" after execution of an offer letter.
We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, natural or protective hairstyle, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military service, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, or because of marital, parental, or veteran status. We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
