The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine is searching for full-time faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointees will provide patient care in the pulmonary outpatient clinic at one or more of UCMs off-site clinics, which can include UCM Ingalls/Flossmoor or Orland Park locations, as well as provide clinical coverage on the pulmonary consult and inpatient critical care units at UCM Ingalls Memorial Hospital, and procedure services including interventional pulmonary. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. The Section of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine has nationally recognized research and education programs that build on collaborations throughout the University and is active in clinical operations and quality improvement at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and 4) have Interventional Pulmonary training.
