OverviewThe Academy Director will perform an integral leadership position with Columbus Crew. This role will interact with all key club stakeholders in fulfilling the club's mission of developing 1st team players in a holistic and welcoming environment. The Academy Director will foster a wide sense of community and collaboration throughout the Academy Program, ranging from U-11 through to Crew 2 in MLS Next Pro.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the Columbus Crew Academy.
• Lead and oversee the Academy Management Team.
• Manage all aspects of the Columbus Crew Academy including financial, operational and technical elements.
• Serve as a key member of the Columbus Crew One Club program.
• Champion an elite performance culture that embeds club values into player development.
• Execution of club Vision and Strategy.

Technical Competencies

• Understanding of elite player development.
• Disseminate club methods and club game model throughout the program.
• Ability to prioritize the individual (players and staff).
• Design and evolve academy processes.
• Understanding of MLS Player Development Guidelines.

Requirements

• Wide experience working in a professional soccer club(s).
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A high level of administrative experience.
• Preferred college degree in Education or Business Administration.
• Vast knowledge and experience in the local, regional and national US Soccer landscape.
