Description:
Piper Companies is seeking an Accessibility Engineer to work on a hybrid basis at one of the following locations: Westlake, TX; Smithfield, RI; Covington, KY; or Merrimack, NH. The Accessibility Engineer will have strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ standards and hands-on experience in front-end development and accessibility testing to help create inclusive digital experiences.

Responsibilities of the Accessibility Engineer include:
- Collaborate with product owners to address accessibility issues and suggestions for remediation.
- Perform product testing to identify and improve accessibility issues for web, desktop, and mobile devices.
- Work through backlogs and sprints, fixing and retesting issues.
- Provide deep knowledge of accessibility regulations and how to apply them in software products.
- Articulate technical issues, document, and convey test results within a large strategic organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
Qualifications for the Accessibility Engineer include:
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ standards.
- Experience building and testing accessible web and mobile experiences.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).
- Skills in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Karma/Jasmine, Jest, Mocha, Playwright).
- Understanding of web components and component architecture.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must work onsite 5 days every other week
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation for the Accessibility Engineer include:
- $55-60/hr (12 months)
