SUMMARY:

The Account Director will oversee the management of all projects related to assigned accounts and support the Head of Accounts with New Business pitches and management of execution. This includes the execution of client projects assigned, client management, and directly supervising Account Managers, maintaining the training & skill development for those team members reporting to you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of Client Relationships
  • Responsible for renewal and growth of assigned accounts
  • Participate in and manage the marketing strategy for new business pitches and current accounts
  • Understand client goals and agency objectives for clients and move the team in that directly
  • Main point of escalation for client representatives to resolve internal agency issues or conflict between agency and client
  • Maintain performance levels of account teams assigned
  • Manage and approve project budgets and ensure scope is maintained
  • Regularly report up to Head of Accounts on each client status
  • Manage and approve all SOW's and supporting documents for each client
  • Standing status/check-in meetings with client contacts
  • Billing review, reconciliation and invoice approval
  • Work with Account Managers to provide quality service to clients, including meeting weekly on an individual basis providing coaching and mentoring and guidance on specific client initiatives.
  • Management of internal cross-functional teams for client discovery and ideation pitches
  • Account planning and forecasting, working with the Head of Accounts.
  • Ensures client brand objectives are being achieved
  • Assists with strategy through in-depth knowledge of client and its customers
  • Compose and conduct AM performance reviews
  • Weekly review of Status Report for all key clients with AM and Head of Accounts
  • Participation in agency initiatives and events as a key member of the New Business Team
  • Work with the Head of Accounts to regularly review and update agency processes
  • Attend client events to oversee execution to the vision of the client and represent the agency
  • Attend Industry events for networking and new business opportunities


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years working in a marketing department focusing on events and media production (preferably at a creative agency or client)
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience working for Fortune 500 clients
  • Ability to work from the corporate office in Cedar Park, TX 2-3 days per week as well as travel for client meetings & events as needed domestically and internationally.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience overseeing creation of project briefs & pitch decks
  • Comfortable pitching & presenting to clients virtually or in person
  • Able to write, source & fully-price detailed budgets, including appropriate procurement of quotes from a variety of vendors to ensure accurate pricing & profitability
  • Familiarity with agency setting, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of the project management systems Wrike, Box and
    Google Suite
  • Extensive experience working with MS Office, including Word, Excel an PowerPoint.


EDUCATION & TRAINING:
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, events, PR or equivalent experience
  • CSEP, CMP or other designation a plus
  • Please share any recent course work, classes, conferences or other training you've taken within the past 12 months
  • Please share any applicable association memberships

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, speak, and hear with aid, see, read, reach with arms and hands, and use a computer, and telephone.
  • This position will require continuous viewing of a computer screen and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 3 hours at a time.
