WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN OUR SALES TEAM

- Experience: Minimum five years of proven success in SaaS sales (mid to senior level)
- Industry Knowledge: Ideally some familiarity with the B2B trading and/or data terminals sector with its specific lexicon.
- Annual expectation: $1.5m in additional ARR - which for us equates to approximately 50 new users per year
- Sales cycle: Expected to average around 3-6mths targeting 1.5mths for existing relationships, and 4mths for new.

- Sphere distinguishes itself from competitors (e.g Sparta, Tallarium) through its proprietary AI technology and comprehensive platform that goes beyond simple data aggregation. Unlike other solutions that might focus on one aspect of trading, Sphere provides an end-to-end solution that integrates voice, messaging and on-screen trading data and analytics. This approach not only improves trading efficiency but also enhances competitive edge, trust and long-term client relationships.
- The addressable market for Sphere's initial industry focus includes approximately 1,000 specialised traders within the oil trading sector. While this is a niche market, the opportunity for growth is significant as Sphere expands its technology to cover additional trading desks and geographies. The company's strong retention rate and investor support further underscore its potential for rapid growth and market penetration.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN OUR SALES TEAM
- Sales Expertise: Candidates must demonstrate a successful track record in SaaS sales, with experience managing complex sales cycles and closing significant deals, for both new and existing business.
- Deal Size and Quota: Familiarity with average deal sizes of around $90k (3x users @30k each) and achieving sales quotas aligned with a target OTE of double base (uncapped).
- Attributes: Candidates should exhibit resilience, grit, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. They must be resourceful and comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity and rapid change.
- Sector Knowledge: While direct experience in B2B trading is beneficial, understanding key terms such as "bids/offers", "forward curve" and "paper/physical" will be an advantage.
- Cultural Fit: Emphasis on finding candidates who align with Sphere's dynamic and innovative culture. The ideal candidates will be those who can contribute to and thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing environment.
- Geography: Candidates need to be based in the Houston area to facilitate face-to-face interactions with the team and clients.
