Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for promoting and selling cutting-edge data management solutions specifically tailored for Exploration & Production (E&P) companies. The AE's primary focus is developing and executing robust account strategies, conducting in-depth account planning, identifying new opportunities, and understanding the unique business challenges faced by our clients to deliver effective Katalyst solutions. The AE leads impactful demonstrations, manages proposals, and drives strategic initiatives to foster long-lasting client relationships.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Account Executive is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst employees.
Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with remote flexibility available.
Travel:
The Account Executive is required to travel to attend client meetings, strategic planning and explore opportunities. Travel varies; however, it could include local, regional, national or international as dictated by client and business needs.
Required Education and Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of subsurface oil and gas data, including seismic and well data. A minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience within the oil and gas industry. Strong understanding of E&P data management practices. Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in relevant field is preferred.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance customer loyalty.
- Thoroughly understand client objectives, challenges, and aspirations to effectively align Katalyst products with their needs.
- Act as the principal point of contact, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and swiftly addressing any issues.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that align with market trends and client needs.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
- Generate qualified leads through active networking, prospecting, and strategic outreach.
- Conduct engaging sales presentations, deliver product demonstrations, and negotiate agreements effectively.
- Partner with existing accounts to retain and maximize business, consistently striving to exceed sales targets.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and account management, to ensure alignment and execution of strategies.
- Communicate openly and effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on account status and performance metrics.
- Monitor account performance diligently, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Prepare insightful reports and dynamic presentations for both internal and client meetings.
- Skillfully negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms for both Katalyst and its clients.
- Represent Katalyst at industry events and conferences, enhancing our market presence and network.
