Amazon Web Services is seeking a self-starter to lead and own revenue generation in the Federal Cloud Computing business. Team player with focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services by engaging with Federal clients directly and also eco-system of solutions providers who are reinventing their IT strategy by adopting and delivering cloud computing solutions.

As an Account Representative Representative within Amazon Web Services (AWS) you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your broad responsibilities will include developing and managing a growing customer base within the Department of Homeland Security. You will drive business and technical relationships and launch customers at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key cloud related opportunities. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with Sales, Legal, Marketing, Product, Contracts and Executive leadership along the way.

You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer's mission and the environment. You will have day-to-day interactions with these agencies and our eco-system of partners (SI's and ISV's) that support these customers. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level but also perform operational account analysis to support revenue growth. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Key job responsibilities

Account Management & Territory Development
Set a strategic sales plan for your target markets in line with the AWS strategic direction. Drive revenue and market share in a defined region.
Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
Work closely with AWS solution architects to design and propose tailored cloud solutions that meet the specific needs of DOE and Federal Civilian customers.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions for C-level executives and decision-makers.

Strategic Partner Management:
Develop and execute strategic plans with key software partners and System Integrators (SIs) to drive joint business opportunities within the DOE and Federal Civilian sector.
Collaborate with partners to create innovative solutions that address specific customer needs and accelerate cloud adoption.
Drive AWS Marketplace adoption by evangelizing its benefits to partners and customers, including streamlined procurement options, compliant ISV solutions, and optimized software spend through private offers and enterprise contracts.

Sales Enablement
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the DOE and Federal Civilian sector, including adoption rates, customer satisfaction scores, and revenue growth.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

- Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent

- Industry experience working with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)

- Ideal candidates will demonstrate a data-driven sales mentality with experience leveraging operational analytics to drive sales and consistent revenue growth
