The role involves handling day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), tax, revenue recognition, and operating expense management. The position also involves working closely with cross-functional teams and mentoring subordinate employees.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, implementing policies and procedures, and contributing to financial planning. The role involves handling day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), tax, revenue recognition, and operating expense management. The position also involves working closely with cross-functional teams and mentoring subordinate employees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of financial reporting using SAP.
- Review journal entries and account analysis for accuracy.
- Monitor and manage the quality of work from the HQ finance team.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and improve the accounts payable process, including payment management and travel & entertainment reimbursement review.
- Conduct monthly operating expense variance analysis.
- Assist in developing and implementing new processes, procedures, policies, and controls to streamline accounting functions.
- Support the financial planning process and quarterly financial statement consolidation.
- Collaborate with the Shanghai-based finance team and complete special projects and analyses as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, or business analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience and US-based accounting work experience.
- Active US CPA license is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with hands-on management experience.
- Internal audit and process improvement experience are desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and cultures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of Mandarin for communication and writing.
- Experience in process improvement and internal audits.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office setting with extended periods of sitting.
- Ability to use a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US.
