What You Will Do
This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities related to the production, distribution, and sale of our products into the retail, foodservice, and e-commerce segments. This role involves handling financial records, cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and industry regulations.This person reports into the Vice President of Finance.

Qualifications:
$90,000 + 10-15% performance bonus (final salary dependent on experience)

What You Will Do

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payables Management: Forward invoices to bill.com, manage approval workflows, generate weekly payment submissions.
- Revenue Recognition/Accounts Receivable: Ensure proper recognition of sales revenue based on company policies and industry standards. Monitor sales returns and allowances. Follow up on past-due collections.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger by recording and reconciling accounting transactions related to production, sales, and other operational expenses.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Assist with preparing tax returns, sales tax filings, and other tax-related documentation.
- Internal Controls: Help design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and prevent fraud.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data and industry trends. Provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, supply chain, and production) to gather necessary financial data and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, required.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, within the CPG or manufacturing industries
- Knowledge of the CPG industry, including pricing models, trade promotions, and product lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel is required and advanced financial modeling, preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills in order to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant), preferred but not required.
$90,000 + 10-15% performance bonus (final salary dependent on experience)
