Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable professional with experience in the Utilities industry to engage with current utility clients. This role is focused on educating customers about additional IQGeo products, identifying service gaps, and fostering rapport to create a seamless introduction to the sales team. Acting as a key pre-sales contact, this individual will conduct strategic outreach and lay the groundwork for a warm handoff, ensuring that clients feel well-supported as they transition into more detailed sales discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement campaigns to increase product adoption within the Utilities sector.
  • Identify service gaps and engage the right decision-makers within named accounts, paving the way for the sales team to step in effectively.
  • Partner closely with marketing, utilities sales, and sales enablement teams to maintain a consistent and well-aligned strategy and messaging.
  • Cultivate and maintain rapport with utility prospects, positioning IQGeo as a trusted partner and ensuring clients feel confident in their relationship with us as they transition to the sales team.
  • Track and report on progress, challenges, and opportunities to the Demand Generation & Sales Optimization Manager.
  • Regularly assess KPIs, particularly the number of meetings generated with utilities clients, ensuring smooth handoffs from pre-sales to sales.
  • Work autonomously while embracing collaboration, proactively seeking assistance and engaging team members when beneficial.


Required Skills/Abilities
  • Familiarity with the Utilities industry (e.g., electricity providers, grid management, etc.) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate trust and rapport through targeted campaigns, creating a warm handoff to sales.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools like HubSpot, Gong, and Apollo is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with clients at all levels.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional environment (account-based marketing (ABM), sales, or a related field preferred)


Key Metrics for Success
  • Success in this role will be measured by the number of new meetings generated with named utility accounts, with a focus on a well-prepared, seamless handoff to the sales team.
