Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for implementing financial data integration of systems and processes. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting. Responsible for streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Knowledgeable and thorough understanding of accounting principles.

  • Responsible for the monthly statutory financial reporting. Lead the design, implementation, and testing of financial data integration projects and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for financial systems integration and process improvement.
  • Assist with review and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the internal control environment and identify and remediate control deficiencies as needed.
  • Assist with monthly close responsibilities as needed. Review and approve account reconciliations. Manage account reconciliation process to ensure completed and approved on a timely basis.
  • Assist the external auditors with the annual audit. Includes preparation of required schedules, disclosure support, and related information, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. Provides support for the tax return preparation processes as needed.
  • Proactively identify and communicate financial issues on a timely basis. Perform other duties and assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Build strong, effective, high performance team through goal setting, performance reviews and personal development plans.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • 7 + years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements, including GAAP, IFRS and internal controls. o Experience with financial systems integration, including project management, system design, and testing.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues. o Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency with Oracle and Hyperion Essbase preferred. o Strong communication organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
