Accounting Manager - Payroll, 941, Bookkeeping

We are a small CPA in the West Des Moines area looking to add to both our accounting and tax team. Agriculture, Construction &Contractors, Real Estate, Manufacturing & Distribution, and Closely held businesses are the industries we service.

What You Will Be Doing

Lead accounting engagements with clients
Lead accounting team to provide monthly, quarterly and annual bookkeeping and accounting services
Assist with GAAP and regulatory reporting for assigned business unit or division
Prepare, analyze, and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations/schedules
Identify, research, interpret, and resolve accounting and operational issues
Mentor, train and develop junior accounting staff

What You Need for this Position

- 5+yrs accounting experience (public experience is a plus)
- General ledger, bookkeeping, payroll, 941, quarter close etc.
- Tax experience is a plus
- Prior use of Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online
- Prior experience working directly with clients
