Description:
Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join our London or Farnham office. As part of the Accounting Group, the Senior Accountant will lead the monthly reporting, month-end process, account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, audits and assist with other accounting tasks as required be management. Their role will also include leading accounting processes for joint ventures.

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision-making
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional Certification: ACCA, ACA, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in the Engineering Services industry
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
