Duties

Wilder is looking for a curious mind who will be responsible for the day to day functions of the accounts payable department, someone who will lead the Foundation in federal grants compliance, and to also support billing improvements across the Foundation.

Management of accounts payable includes ensuring vendors are paid timely and according to company policies. This position will be the knowledge bank for how to most efficiently process payables within our software to meet our goals and lead accounts payable through changes such as software upgrade and operating through a recent change to automated payables system. We are looking for a team player who also brings us a lot of prior knowledge of Great Plains or Business Central payables.

This position will also be the Foundation's go-to for federal grants compliance within 2 CFR 200 along with reviewing of contract and grant applications to ensure compliance. Creating documents and providing training to others as required to ensure compliance with the regulations.

Billing support includes assisting with billing across the Foundation and making improvements within Foundation systems for greater efficiencies and cost savings.

A successful applicant will also have a solid understanding of GAAP and all concepts of accounting including journal entry creation.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting with five years' experience in a variety of accounting areas including payable processing and journal entry creation. Other must haves include: excellent problem solving skills; strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; excellent attention to detail; two years supervisory experience; a solid understanding of GAAP and all accounting concepts; at least one year of experience in processing accounts payable in Great Plains or Business Central; be a proficient user of Excel; and must also have excellent knowledge of federal regulations under 2 CFR 200.

An additional ten years of experience in a variety of accounting experiences may be substituted for education requirements along with demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts.

Nice to have: experience with automated payables software; change management experience; proficiency with a 10-key keyboard and a computer keyboard; understanding how to use Smartlist in Great Plains; exposure to other functionality within Great Plains, and prior use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
