Gevo is seeking an Accounting Manager to work a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colorado. This position is responsible for most accounting functions at Gevo headquarters. The position is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities for multiple entities. It makes recommendations to the Controller for developing accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

The pay range for this role is:
83,000 - 128,000 USD per year (Gevo Corporate)

Gevo is seeking an Accounting Manager to work a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colorado. This position is responsible for most accounting functions at Gevo headquarters. The position is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities for multiple entities. It makes recommendations to the Controller for developing accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Who You Are
- Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Perform routine duties for review of bi-weekly payrolls, accounts payable and entries under the direction of the Controller
- Review monthly GL account reconciliations
- Assist with Treasury functions (managing bank accounts, payments, deposits, debt)
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Review consolidating journal entries and consolidated financial statements
- Responsible for support and documentation of internal controls related to Sarbanes Oxley section 404
- Interface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issues
- Respond to inquiries regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
- Work with the external CPA firm to ensure a clean and timely quarterly review and year end audit
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
- Work with direct reports to establish and monitor performance goals and objectives for each
- Advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
Experience/Education Requirements
- B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience in managing employees
- 5-7 years general accounting experience
- PP&E experience a plus
- NetSuite experience
