The Opportunity
Precision Analytical has a new and exciting opportunity! The Accounting Manager will supervise, manage and evaluate daily accounting functions for Precision Analytical. This includes all accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, credit card management, reconciliation, auditing, collecting on delinquent accounts, improving policies and other accounting activities. Accounting Manager responsibilities also include developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy and thrive individually as well as in a team environment.
This role is located onsite at our McMinnville office, and reports to the Controller.
Pay:
The pay range for this position is $87,925 To $98,915. We are open to negotiating to ensure it aligns with the candidate's skills and experience.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Record Maintenance:
- Manage accounting operational functions of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual book close duties accurately and timely through effective planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare for Financial Statement generation in collaboration with the Controller.
- Oversee the preparation and filling of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies with customers, third party partners, and vendors.
- Manage invoicing processes, including creating and submitting invoices, and lead related auditing efforts.
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts on the Accounts Receivable side.
Accounting Maintenance and Process Improvement:
- Assess current accounting operations, provide recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes as needed.
- Assist with new system and process implementations with QuickBooks Online.
- Establish documents, SOPs, and perform internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Account Coordination:
- Assist with KPIs and metrics to determine departmental needs and effectiveness.
- Create and manage 1099s and W-9s with all vendors.
- Work cross-functionally on projects to proactively resolve procedural and operational issues, escalating cases that require additional expertise or review.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the company's goals and provide backup for all accounting positions as needed.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and projects, with the ability to supervise and coach team members to meet objectives, customer service expectations, and achieve personal development goals.
Key Competencies:
- Technical Accounting Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Understanding of the General Ledger and accounting including reconciliation of GL accounts.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts. Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, identify issues and opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software: Proficiency in financial software, with QuickBooks Online experience being a plus.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal teams, external clients, and vendors.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address issues and challenges that arise in financial reporting.
