This role comes from the acquisition and creation of two new businesses in the parking and traffic enforcement markets with Trellint and Elovate with operations in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Mexico and India. The role is supporting both businesses' reporting and the reporting requirements of each legal entity within those markets in a virtual environment.

This role will report directly to our Group Controller. You will be responsible for helping with the monthly accounting close, financial modelling and analysis, managing intercompany relationships, and acting as the primary technical resource for complex accounting matters, providing guidance and collaboration with the portfolio on IFRS requirements and deliverables.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll as well as contribute to the monthly close.
  • Creation of internal deliverables for parent company reporting and financial statements for external parties.
  • Develop, implement and improve controls, required because of the acquisition and new system implementations as well as to work with business units to enable split balance sheets and processes.
  • Lead any complex accounting assessments which includes new revenue assessments under AFRS 15 and review of leasing entries and disclosures under AFRS16
  • Manage intercompany reconciliation process which included global transfer pricing requirements for actuals and forecasts
  • Review account reconciliations monthly, provide timely feedback to preparers, and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits globally, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors
  • Assist in system implementations and optimization including NetSuite, Adaptive and Tipalti

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • 5 years of financial analysis, reporting and modelling experience, preferably in the software or technology industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Preferred: Large audit firm experience
  • Preferred: Experience with forecasting tools, consolidation systems and ERP's, specifically Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, BPC and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
  • Great problem solving and analytical skills
