We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance department. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position reports directly to the Controller and is based at our headquarters.

Requirements

  • Financial Close Process: Assist in the monthly and annual financial close processes, with a specific focus on inventory accounting. Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial records.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) Support: Oversee and provide support to the AP team, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. Resolve any discrepancies and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Support: Manage and support the AR team in the collection of outstanding receivables. Ensure accurate recording of customer payments and resolve any billing issues.
  • General Accounting Inquiries: Address and resolve general accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and support on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Transaction Processing: Oversee the processing of various financial transactions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory accounting, including valuation, adjustments, and reporting. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in operations across the organization. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards (ERP) helpful, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and financial close processes is highly desirable.

Salary Description

$75,000 to $115,000
