The Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership and external partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee key financial operations including payroll, A/P, general ledger, and purchasing
- Manage and maintain fixed asset records and coordinate depreciation schedules with external accountants
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and contribute to annual budget planning
- Support benefit and retirement plan administration by preparing reports and managing communication with third-party vendors
- Perform regular reconciliations, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and address discrepancies
- Ensure regulatory compliance in financial reporting
- Audit internal documents and contracts before processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide insight for special projects and operational improvements
- Handle all financial duties with strict confidentiality and integrity
- Follow internal protocols along with HIPAA and OSHA compliance guidelines
- Take on additional duties and provide strategic support to leadership as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the healthcare industry
- Experience using Paychex and Sage or similar accounting systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
- Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
