  • Knowledge of computers and spreadsheet applications.

What will I be doing?

As an Accounting Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with hotel policies, and adherence to local regulations, with a primary focus on payroll processing, as well as applicable tasks in general accounting function, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Collaborate with the SSC, Memphis Office, and internal partners to ensure the weekly payroll is processed timely and accurately.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries as needed.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance with hotel accounting procedures and policies.
  • Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management.
  • Strong understanding of federal and local regulations and compliance related to labor.
  • Interpretation and Implementation of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) rules.


Supporting Functions:

In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

  • Work with the team to assist with Labor Management reporting and actionable items.
  • Assist the COE in reconciling Balance Sheet accounts and bank reconciliation.
  • When necessary, assist with the invoicing, reconciliation, and collection of select Property Billed accounts.
  • Work with the Comptroller and ADOF on special projects related to the financial success of the operation.
