Description:
The Accounts Payable Manager is a hands-on-role, responsible for overseeing all activities in the accounts payable function, ensuring proper record keeping, developing best practices and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close accounts payable tasks and reports. The Accounts Payable Manager will ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. As a leader, will manage a team and work to foster and maintain positive, effective, and efficient working relationships aligned with the culture, mission, and vision of the company within the accounting department and across the company. Works to ensure a positive and productive place to work.
Shift is full-time during weekdays Monday to Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm; some overtime and weekend work may be required on an as-needed basis. Work is performed at the CNS business office and other locations as needed.

This position requires a high level of organization and accuracy in terms of documentation, computation, dependability, and strong organizational skills. The Accounts Payable Manager will have effective leadership skills and enjoy taking initiative.
REQUIREMENTS:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are arrived at each unique case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $75,000-$95,000/year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a high level of organization and accuracy in terms of documentation, computation, dependability, and strong organizational skills. The Accounts Payable Manager will have effective leadership skills and enjoy taking initiative.
- Oversees AP department staff in processing, recording, and timely payment of invoices for multiple locations. Will analyze/audit accounts to determine discrepancies.
- Ensures AP invoices are processed accurately and efficiently develops, implements, and maintains procedures for payable processing. Identifies and implements both system and process improvements.
- Ensures complete and accurate set-up of new contractors and vendors and that all vendor records are properly maintained. Maintains a positive rapport with vendors, providing excellent customer service and timely payments. Researches discrepancies and resolves issues proficiently.
- Ensures the 1099s are filed accurately within the IRS deadlines.
- Manages team including performance reviews and metrics, time off, scheduling, hiring, training, and other leadership responsibilities, as necessary.
- Provides effective leadership and consultation through sharing of best practice techniques and mentoring, and training to other staff. Fosters a work environment where everyone can openly contribute.
- Interacts daily with GL accountants, CNS employees and other vendors. Answers inquiries from CNS employees and vendors.
- Ensures accurate processing of expense reports in Concur Expense. Utilizes Concur Intelligence reporting to be able to report on expenses.
- Reviews Period End Aging Analysis during close and provides to Accounting Management when A/P is closed for the month. Prepares timely month end accrual for invoices that have not yet been entered or processed in the accounts payable module.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable as an individual contributor or relevant work experience preferred.
- One to three years of supervisory experience required.
- Extensive understanding of computers, accounts payable automation, working hands on with multiple information systems, and process improvement required.
