Collaborating closely with the CFO and Operations from our SE Portland office (at least 3-4 days a week), you will manage all accounts payable and cash disbursements, ensuring robust internal controls and efficient financial operations throughout our restaurant portfolio.

Join the Sustainable Restaurant Group as our Accounts Payable Manager and take on a vital role in our Food & Beverage Accounting team. Collaborating closely with the CFO and Operations from our SE Portland office (at least 3-4 days a week), you will manage all accounts payable and cash disbursements, ensuring robust internal controls and efficient financial operations throughout our restaurant portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all Accounts Payable processes and the AP Clerk, optimizing systems.
- Maintain internal controls for cash and AP transactions.
- Ensure accurate system setup and data flow.
- Manage vendor master data consistency.
- Oversee timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, banking, and AR/AP.
- Conduct vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage the monthly rent roll (rent, CAM, utilities).
- Review account reconciliations and related journal entries, ensuring GAAP compliance.
- Perform AP sub-ledger to GL reconciliation.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews.
- Leverage ERP systems to drive automation and efficiency.
Who You Are:
A detail-oriented finance professional with strong communication and organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams. You value in-office collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience, building trust, and driving change.
- Industry experience in hospitality or public accounting.
- Strong Excel and ERP/financial system skills (NetSuite a plus).
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
