The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Accounts Payable Supervisor in the Department of Finance. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.

Under general supervision, acts as a lead worker and performs technical accounting in support of the financial operations of the Finance Department; supervises the work of Accounts Payable Clerks in support of the Accounts Payable division and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience performing accounting functions, at least one year of which included lead or supervisory work.
  • Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of IRS 1099 tax reporting.
