SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Acoustics Engineer II.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is currently seeking a Senior Acoustics Engineer. The responsibilityof the Acoustical Engineer includes, developing innovative acoustic designsolutions for large Navy Submarine computer systems. This involves all acousticrelated design and sustaining activities including cross functional or OEMinteraction necessary to deliver products into production. The ability to usestate of the art acoustic analysis tools to create, test, integrate, andvalidate computer systems and components.

JobResponsibilities Include:
  • Early involvement with product concept creations including acoustic, mechanical, and thermal development and detail design.
  • Developing and executing system and component level testing on prototypes throughout the development process.
  • Developing and implementing customer focused acoustic specifications for computer systems and components.
  • Close working relationship with Thermal, Electrical, Mechanical, Power, and other development groups also required to meet project objectives.


Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree or higher degree in Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or other STEM majors OR six years of U.S. Navy fleet operational experience with at-sea measurement trials

Experience: Six years of technical experience with data acquisition and processing systems which process, analyze, and report signature data.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of one FTE with Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (SCI) eligibility or Active TS/SCI Clerance
  • Four years of experience conducting R&D efforts to support the design and evaluation of real-time series data recorded from sonar systems/sensors for post-processing and analysis
  • Four years of experience with systems analysis of large Navy sonar radiated noise, self-noise, and structure-borne noise systems, including acoustical signal acquisition; transmission, telemetry and processing subsystem; and numerical and acoustic model development, implementation, and data analysis
  • Four years of experience with data acquisition systems to measure the signatures characteristics, including radiated noise, target strength, sonar self-noise, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Infrared (IR), and Electro-Optical (EO)
  • All candidates required to have an IAT Level II certification, with the person's certification training information provided in the attached Cyber Security Workforce Requirements Matrix.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
