The People Operations- Benefits & Well-Being Administrator is responsible for the administration and management of employee benefits programs; including health & welfare, well-being/ wellness, leave policies, and retirement plan programs.

The People Operations- Benefits & Well-Being Administrator is responsible for the administration and management of employee benefits programs; including health & welfare, well-being/ wellness, leave policies, and retirement plan programs.
Benefits (Health & Welfare, Well-Being/Wellness) Management:
- Administer and manage the overall operations and decision making of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary plans, flexible spending plans, and well-being/wellness plans, etc.) by creating and updating policies and procedures in accordance with applicable state, local, and federal regulations
Leave (Time Away)Management:
- Administer and manage the overall leave-of-absence programs and decision making, including FMLA, disability, and state-mandated leaves, and workers compensation by creating and updating policies and procedures in accordance with applicable state, local, and federal regulations
Retirement (401k) Plans Management:
- Administer and manage the overall operations and decision making of the Retirement Plans by creating and updating policies and procedures in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
Benefits Annual Enrollment Planning and Execution:
- Administer and manage the annual open enrollment process, including preparation of materials, communication to employees, and system updates
- Conduct audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and compliant with plan provisions and government regulations
Compliance, Data Analysis, Audits, and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations by keeping up to date with legal changes, conducting compliance audits, preparing reports, and providing guidance to leaders and employees on compliance-related issues.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of benefits programs to ensure ongoing compliance
Vendor Management:
- Manage benefits consultants, plan carriers, and other vendors to ensure effective administration of plans
- Administer and manage vendor and systems relationships to ensure records are maintained and transferred securely and seamlessly
Communication and Education:
- Develop communication materials to promote understanding and utilization of the benefits program
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and presentations to educate employees on benefits options and changes
Additional Duties:
- Projects and initiatives as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or applicable experience
- 7-10 years' experience in benefits and retirement plan administration and management with extensive knowledge of employee benefits/ retirement plans and applicable laws
- Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills; must be meticulous
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in HRIS and Vendor Management
