JOB SUMMARY
This position is for an advanced nurse practitioner, whose responsibility is to provide a full scope of services which fall under his/her specialty including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients/residents. This position reports to the Director of Medical Practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Meets the credentialing requirements for Active Staff Membership
A current license in the State of Georgia, including authorization for advanced nursing practices by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Credentialed by the Medical Staff for Liberty Regional Hospital Authority. Current APRN agreement on file with the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Current DEA. Successful completion of the National Certifying Examination authorization by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Current BLS certification. Minimum of one year of related clinical nursing experience. Professional knowledge of scope of practice. Must be able to write English language in a legible and understandable manner. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to handle tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as law, regulations and guidelines that pertain to acute care. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality of care. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices. OB/GYN patient care experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred.
