Advanced Hardware Engineer

As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, youwill be a key contributor to the development of cutting-edge hardware solutionswithin the Integrated Flight Deck Systems (IFS) group. You will play a criticalrole in guiding and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the deliveryof high-quality and reliable products for the aerospace industry. Yourexpertise in hardware design and test, collaboration with cross-functionalteams, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future oftechnology and aviation solutions.

In this role, you will have an impact by guiding anddriving the hardware development process, defining hardware requirements, and testingavionics hardware in a variety of environments for integrated flight decksolutions. Your work will contribute to the seamless integration of hardwarecomponents, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of ourproducts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware testing and validationto ensure product performance and reliability
  • Work with cross-functional teams todefine hardware requirements and specifications
  • Identify and propose technicalimprovements by applying advanced electronic design principles
  • Guide and drive the hardware designprocess, from concept to production
  • Provide technical guidance to juniorengineers
  • Stay updated with the latest industrytrends and technologies
  • Participate in project planning for newproduct development
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware designand development
  • Experience with hardware testing andvalidation
  • Strong knowledge of hardware designethics and methodologies
  • Proficiency in schematic capture
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering or a related field
  • Experience with Environmental and EMIQualification Testing (DO160, MIL-810F...)
  • Proven track record of successfulhardware design projects
  • Ability to guide and mentor juniorengineers
  • Strong insight of industry standards andbest practices
  • Experience with high-speed digital andanalog circuit debugging
  • Knowledge of FPGA-based designs andstandards (DO-254)
  • Excellent problem-solving and thoughtful skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
