Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and manufacture medical devices and their production space. Project scope may include new and next generation products, line extensions, manufacturing technology transfers, and general product improvements. Seeking an individual who can work independently on complex tasks including product and process prototyping, testing, data analysis, report writing, and project planning.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the manufacturing transfer for any acquisitions and process improvements or line extensions to existing products
  • Successfully tackle complex engineering tasks related to design and process development
  • Use computer-assisted engineering software to perform engineering tasks related to prototype design, test method development, and production aids
  • Source, evaluate, and coordinate the procurement of materials and parts from suppliers
  • Develop and execute design and process validation protocols/reports
  • Source, install, characterize, and validate new equipment including IQ/OQ/PQ's
  • Review test data utilizing statistical analysis and generate reports summarizing product and process performance
  • Lead or assist in project planning, which entails developing timelines, managing resources, and verifying task execution
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes


Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering with three to six years of engineering experience in the medical device industry
  • Strong experience with SolidWorks, Project Management Software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic familiarity with statistical analysis and statistical software
  • Biologics experience a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfort working independently
  • Travel up to 20% may be required
