Required Qualifications
Graduation from a Physician Assistant's training program approved by the Council on Allied Health Education Accreditation of the American Medical Association. Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas. Certification as a Physician Assistant as evidenced by passing the examinations given by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. OR Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a nurse practitioner from an approved certification program recognized by Texas Board of Nursing. Current R.N. license as approved by the Texas Board of Nursing or ability to transfer license to Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved certification program as recognized by Texas Board of Nursing or ability to transfer certification to Texas.

Major/Essential Functions
- Provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in an outpatient health facility.
- Using sound clinical judgement, will escalate or refer patient care to supervising physician, medical specialists, or other practitioners (e.g. Psychiatrist, Dentist) for appropriate level of care. Documents clearly, and concisely in patients' health records for recording and reporting.
- Coordinates with supervising physician and health facility director to strategize, plan, and execute health care services for patients.
- During scheduled "On-Call" hours, is available to connect with onsite clinic for virtual care services, and in support of the onsite clinical team.
- Conducts outpatient medical services virtually, and / or consults with onsite clinical teams for triage and assessment for urgent/emergency service referrals to community hospitals' emergency departments.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in the job classification and/or position description.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in providing healthcare in-person and via telehealth.
- Experience with health standards for quality outcomes, e.g. HEDIS/NCQA.
- Current CPR certification
