Job Summary
Belcan is seeking an experienced Advisor to drive the successful launch, execution, and sustainment of critical Manufacturing & Supply Chain service line projects. This role will be the first point of contact ("boots on the ground") for new projects, ensuring seamless execution, technical oversight, and long-term sustainability.
The Advisor will provide strategic and technical direction, support business development efforts, and serve as a key liaison between Belcan and its customers. This position requires a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain, and aerospace, combined with leadership abilities and customer-facing expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Technical Leadership
* Lead project kickoffs (often onsite) to establish execution strategies and measurable performance metrics.
* Define customer deliverables and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Act as the primary technical expert (SME) for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC) service line, supporting project personnel.
* Oversee daily/weekly reporting, ensuring project visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Work with service line leadership to manage staffing, onboarding, and backfilling of project resources.
* Establish sustainable processes for knowledge transfer and project handoff to long-term teams.
Customer Engagement & Business Development
* Serve as the primary liaison between Belcan and customers, fostering strong relationships.
* Identify opportunities for new business/contracts that align with Belcan's growth strategy.
* Represent Belcan in customer meetings, contract negotiations, and project reviews.
* Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and continuous process improvements.
Team Development & Operational Excellence
* Provide technical mentorship and training to engineers and project teams.
* Develop and implement best practices for communication, reporting, and project tracking.
* Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer/government regulations, and Belcan policies.
* Support resource planning, forecasting, and personnel performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related discipline desired.
* Experience:
o 10+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or technical project leadership.
o Extensive supply chain experience within the aerospace industry.
o Strong ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects and drive technical execution.
o Proven experience in customer engagement, stakeholder management, and business growth.
* Technical & Leadership Skills:
o Strong engineering & manufacturing background, with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
o Expertise in project management, resource planning, and KPI tracking.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead customer discussions and internal teams.
* Travel Requirement: Up to 50% based on project and customer needs.
* Location: Cincinnati, OH, with a primary focus on supporting GE Aviation projects & growth.
