Job Overview / Responsibilities
Respond to customer complaints, governmental and police department inquiries and insurance subrogation demands in consultation with Corporate Counsel.
Collect documents and information needed for discovery in litigation, including working with various business units and sister companies to collect, categorize and analyze documents and information needed to support the company's position in litigation.
Develop and refine legal processes to create efficiency.
Ensure accurate tracking of legal files in the litigation matter management system.
Create charts, detailed summaries and other reports of the cases pending and develop metrics for tracking trends in cases year-over-year.
Assist in identifying potential witnesses and collecting relevant documents for their review in preparation for testimony.
Support Product Analysis Engineers in their investigation of customer complaints and lawsuit claims by providing them with legal documents and acting as a liaison between the litigation department, engineering and outside counsel.
Process product liability lawsuits that are served on the Company and assigned to the appropriate Corporate Counsel.
Develop processes for more efficient handling of product liability case matters and assignments.
Develop processes for tracking matter management and case assignments
Qualifikationen Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate law department or the equivalent
Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required
