Preferred Experience and Skills
Education Requirements
- Has 10+ years working in Aerospace, preferably directly for Pratt and Whitney.
- Hand on experience in Performance analysis of Aircraft/Industrial gas turbine engine.
- Ability to develop/perform aero/industrial gas turbine engine cycle analysis and engine matching using any commercial tools like NPSS etc.
- Expertise in Performance analysis tools to perform Steady state and Transient Cycle analysis and data matching engine data.
- Experience in engine performance and modeling analysis using NPSS. Perform Parametric modeling studies for conceptual/Preliminary design to PSRD requirements.
- Perform engine test data analysis, including data reduction; component and system performance evaluation to understand T/O Margin and model updates leading to a data matched model.
- Provide daily on-wing engine health monitoring and diagnostics services to air transport operators. Assist to troubleshoot engine operational and performance issues
- Provide direct and timely feedback to customers on troubleshooting procedures and maintenance recommendations, and provide periodic fleet status reports
- Conduct engine analytics tasks such as shop visit induction performance analysis, engine test performance assessment, trend analysis, and correlation studies relating test cell to on-wing performance
- Engine systems stability analysis for operability
- Work with customers to troubleshoot engine compliance issues and answer questions on engine performance
- Strong communication, analytical, teaming skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment is required
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Candidate should have achieved proficiency level 3 (PL3) or higher, as recognized by Pratt and Whitney, in the field of aerospace Structural Analysis
- 10+ years experience working with Pratt and Whitney Aerospace
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in engine performance domain
- Familiarity with cycle analysis of various thermodynamic cycles
- Hands on experience with performance analysis tools (NPSS, Unigraph etc.) and basic to mid-level experience in programming languages like Python, Matlab, VBA etc.
- An expert in structural analysis methods and theory
- Ability to mentor others
- Microsoft office - PowerPoint for Redline Creation and Outlook for requests
- Experience with CAD software - Solidworks, UG/ NX

Education Requirements
- BS or greater in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
