Description
Golden State Dermatology (GSD) is a physician-led and owned dermatology group rapidly expanding across California, with over 37 locations. GSD is a leading medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology group specializing in skin, hair, and nail conditions, Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, surgical and non-surgical cosmetic skincare, anti-aging, body contouring, and plastic surgery.
The Aesthetic Sales Manager will drive material growth in cosmetic products and services and must have a passion for aesthetics. This role reports to the head of Operations with a dotted line to the Director of Marketing. This role will collaborate with various teams, including marketing, office managers, RNs, aestheticians, and executive leadership.
There are 4 components of the role. This position will develop materials for and lead a monthly Cosmetic Business Review with leadership that tracks progress in all these areas.

1: Increase Products Sales EBITDA:
- Increase product sales EBITDA year over year. This will include motivating, training and hiring products specialists in partnership with operations leadership. Collaborate with marketing on promotions and specials.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and maximize product sales and rebate opportunities, ensuring seamless execution of new online projects and services.
- Establish systems to track, analyze, and report on product performance, turning insights into impactful decisions and innovations. Champion the optimization of cosmetic product offerings and sales performance.
- Be fully responsible for all aspects of launching and managing an online product store. Oversee, manage, and order inventory for the e-commerce online skincare store, and work with the third- party vendor responsible for fulfillment and returns.
2: Expand Cosmetic Services
- Grow cosmetics, particularly in the East Bay
- Collaborate with the marketing team to craft and execute compelling campaigns that showcase lasers and aesthetic services, driving patient engagement and revenue.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance staff expertise and confidence. Monitor the volume post training to ensure there is ROI.
- Monitor pricing (through benchmarking) and adjust as needed.
- Grow the LE and RN cosmetic service line year over year. Build strong relationships with RNs and aestheticians to streamline schedules, address operational challenges, and identify growth opportunities. The LEs will report to this position.
3: Device Inventory Management:
- In partnership with operations, manage the device inventory using MRP's portal inclusive of warranty contracts.
- Work with finance to develop reports on revenue by laser to assess utilization. Recommend when to sell and move devices. Identify ways to fully utilize all devices.
- Assist in the development of cosmetic business cases.
4: Procurement and Inventory Management
- Implement processes to professionally manage inventory.
- Implement a procurement and more robust inventory management system across all of GSD.
- Develop and implement best practices across GSD in inventory management and controls. Develop and monitor reports on inventory waste. Share with operations directors and managers to help them efficiently manage their clinics.
Qualifications:
- Operations management experience in aesthetics in dermatology.
- Proven experience in sales management, aesthetics, or a related field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and rolling out new online services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and create actionable insights.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and marketing best practices.
- Passion for the aesthetics industry and a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify is highly desirable and would be a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in CRM and e-commerce platforms
