We are currently seeking an Elementary School African American History Teacher (K-5) for immediate hire! The African American History Teacher will bring a passion for the mission of HCZ Promise Academy, to get all our scholars to and through college. We believe they earn it and deserve it. The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $140,000. Incoming teacher salaries are determined based on their number of years of experience as a lead teacher, level of education (bachelor's, or master's degree), and certification.

Requirements
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree required
- NYS Teaching Certification in Child Education (Grades 1-6) preferred
- 3+ years of relevant teaching experience with a passion for African American History
- Dedication and commitment to the mission of HCZ Promise Academy
- 2 - 5 years teaching experience in an urban school setting is desired
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
