The Control Systems Branch within the AFRL Aerospace Systems Directorate seeks to fill a general engineer, DR-02/03, position at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to serve as a Science and Technology Manager of Autonomous Control Technology Development Projects in the Control Systems Branch.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conceives, plans, and leads programs to research, develop, demonstrate, and test autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft.
- Applies systems engineering and program management knowledge and experience to manage technology development and demonstration programs.
- Leads teams of government and contractor engineers and scientists to accomplish program objectives.
- Manages and advocates for resources required to achieve mission goals.
- Ensures alignment of technical efforts with Directorate and higher-level S&T strategic priorities.
- Represents the team, the organization, and the technology to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Develops and leads cross-organization coalitions to advance technology transition.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Possess a professional engineering degree, in a relevant technical field, from an accredited (or ABET accredited for engineering) academic institution
