The Analysis and Integration Branch (AFRL/RYZY), Sensors Directorate seeks to hire a DR-03 Supervisory Senior Operations Research Analyst (1515), or General Engineer (0801) in Dayton, Ohio. The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Branch Chief for the Analysis and Integration Branch.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as a Deputy Branch Chief supporting the Branch Chief in all aspects of Branch Chief duties, exercising full authority in their absence, and ensuring the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Analysis and Integration Branch.
Utilizing operations research analysis & systems engineering processes knowledge assists in overseeing, with Branch/Division leadership, the day-to-day operations of the Analysis & Integration Branch.
Leads or participates in various integrated product teams with oversight for developing, implementing, and communicating capability development planning & analysis methodologies and results.
Assists Branch Chief in developing strategies and defining policies/processes/procedures and best practices aligned with the Directorate's mission.
Helps to recruit, train, mentor & maintain an S&T research support team, including planning and resource allocation.
Fosters a team environment with an open communication culture, sets clear goals, delegates tasks, and sets deadlines, tracks progress, reports on KPPs/metrics, provides coaching, and resolves issues or conflicts.
Coordinates branch activity with AFRL leadership, warfighters, the acquisition, intelligence, and research communities, and other R&D organizations.

Advanced degree in Operations Research or Engineering from an accredited school.
Ability to cultivate and sustain a professional environment of cooperation.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Applicants must be current DR-03, or equivalent in other pay systems, with specialized experience. This includes technical experience developing, maturing, and/or applying modeling, simulation, and data analysis techniques in a research/development environment, development of technical/research and development programs, and leadership of cross-organizational teams responsible for these activities.
- Position will be filled using occupational series within the SCIENTIST AND ENGINEERING career field.
- Applicants must be able to meet the OPM Qualification Standards of the position being filled, for the 1515 or 0801 Occupational Series.

- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to SCI and SAP, as condition of employment.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing.
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical certification in Engineering and Technical Management (N) at time of employment.
