Under the direction of the AIFS Associate Director, the successful candidate will work closely with AIFS and 26 other AI institute staff nationwide who form the AI Institutes Virtual Organization (AIVO) to support two AI education programs related to a Google.org funded grant. The successful candidate will design web portal solutions with the desired UIUX components, will gather specifications from users and stakeholders, will write unit tests and perform QA testing, will troubleshoot issues and find solutions to technical problems, will be able to use Agile practices, and will work together with institute staff to have the desired outcome.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
Bachelor's degree in computer science and / or equivalent experience / training.
Two years of professional experience in code development in JavaScript, web markup (HTML5, CSS3), AngularJS or similar.
Experience with versioning tools, such as Git. Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and web markup.
Good knowledge of a JS framework, such as Angular JS.
Good knowledge of commercial web hosting portals and the use of code repositories.
Ability to design, create, and maintain a web portal, or a web application.
Preferred Qualifications
AI courses at the Bachelor's level.
Basic experience with UIUX and QA.
Experience working with Agile methodologies.
Experience with AI education.
Experience with online curriculum development and delivery.
Familiarity working with cloud architectures and APIs. Ability to create wireframes, and other UIUX designs.
Familiarity with Adobe Suite and Figma. Good knowledge of Python. Good graphic design skills.
Good knowledge of SEO optimization.
Excellent oral and writing skills

Work Environment
