In the Airline Security Programs Manager role, you'll play a key part in safeguarding our operations and ensuring compliance with TSA regulations. Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, you'll manage critical security programs, oversee training and compliance, and serve as the Alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AAOSC). Position Overview

The Airline Security Programs Manager at New Pacific Airlines plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company's security protocols in line with TSA regulations. Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, this role involves managing TSA vetting processes, overseeing security training and compliance, and serving as the Alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AAOSC). The successful candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge of TSA-adopted security programs and aviation safety to ensure the highest standards of security across the organization. This position demands strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Serve as the registered Alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AAOSC) with the TSA.
  • Build and manage TSA vetting and other security-related employee lists.
  • Authorize and oversee security representatives' qualifications and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with TSA-required training and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Security to evaluate and improve the Security Management System (SeMS).
  • Act as an AEV Authorized User.
  • Maintain records as specified in Chapter 6 of the manual.
  • Manage covered employee CHRCs/STAs, RapBack entries, and adjudicate Rap Sheets and RapBack responses per 1544.229.
  • Conduct internal audits of CHRCs, KCM, CASS, and Company ID Media.
  • Maintain and update security training records.
  • Fulfill responsibilities of the Security Coordinator as directed.
  • Respond to and manage security events in line with Company Safety and Security Management Systems.
  • Assist with Company Technical Publications Management.
  • Present data analysis reports on operational and physical security.
  • Assist in analyzing routing to mitigate security risks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a strong background in aviation safety, exceptional attention to detail, and prior experience in the aviation industry. This individual will excel at problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced professional environment with constantly changing priorities. They will demonstrate outstanding leadership and decision-making skills, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Required:
  • Thorough knowledge of TSA-adopted security programs, including AOSSP, PCSSP, TFSSP, and regulations under 49 CFR 1544.
  • General knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121.
  • Familiarity with Security Management Systems (SeMS).
  • Successful completion of a Security Threat Assessment (STA) in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1544 is required.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, security, or a related field, or at least two years of experience in an aviation security environment.
  • Experience as an AOSC (Aviation Operations Safety Coordinator) or AAOSC (Alternate Aviation Operations Safety Coordinator)
  • Have at least two years' experience working in an aviation safety and or security environment.
    • Knowledge and experience managing the FAA Safety Management System, (14CFR Part 5 and AC120-92, as amended).
    • Knowledge of risk analysis and mitigation practices.

  • Must be work successfully through safety risk management processes
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communications, presentation and writing skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be willing to travel for work.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
