Job Description
Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist
Job Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist
Job Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Variable - 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, or nights
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Must be board eligible by the National Accrediting Agency or American Society of Clinical Pathologists and complete board certification within one year of employment.
Certifications: Certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the National Accrediting Agency within one year of employment.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology, or completion of a formal student internship.
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
- Completed COVID vaccinations.
- Compliance with immunization requirements: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, Polio, or appropriate titers/historical shot records.
Job Description:
- Perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.
- Responsible for clinical laboratory instrumentation.
- Function as a laboratory generalist.
- Provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants when necessary.
- Airfare is initially paid by the candidate and will be reimbursed upon arrival.
- Participate in New Employee Orientation classes held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Submit all required credentials prior to travel: Physical address, email address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security Number, immunization records, copy of photo ID, professional license and/or certification, education transcripts, background check results, competency checklist, and various report checks.
- Provide proof of completed COVID vaccinations.
- No private housing provided; all housing is shared. No pets allowed.
- Note: Submission by multiple agencies is not accepted. Completion of all requirements is mandatory for consideration.
